Chikkabanagereya ondu hosa shasana-A new inscription of Chikkabangere, Sira Taluk

The inscription discovered on the panipeetha by the author belongs to Vijayanagara period (A.D. 1508). It mentions that while Rolleya Kamayanayaka ruling Chikkabanagere, Devaranagaiah had the gowdike and Gopanna constructed the Keshava temple. The author indicates that Kamayanayaka was the chieftain of Nidugal.
