Place:  Malebennur, Harihara, Davanagere

Bhairavapada, now a Bechirak village in Harihara taluk. has only a temple and few modern irrigation structures. People throng in good numbers during sankramana, as the place is situated on the banks of  Tungabadra. The temple facing west has the Bhairanapada, the sacred foot prints found with a serpent hood is also seen lying here. An inscription of 12th century is on its base. Vishnu sculpture is also found near the temple.
