Deevara shasanagalu – Inscriptions of Deewara Community

The author presents inscriptions and memorial stones which mention and depict people of Deewara Community. Deewars were brave soldiers who took part in wars and hence most of the inscriptions are memorial stones erected praising their bravery and sacrifice. The people of this sect are settled in districts of Shimoga and Uttara Kannada.
