Dr. Sudhamani has concentrated her essay on the donations made to the diety Srikanteshwara of Nanjangud which has a long history. The donations to this God before Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar-III were meager compared to that donated by this wodeyar. The cultural and religious celebrations to the Lord Srikanteshwara, the sculptures around the Jagathi in the temple’s indoor, the front Gopurum etc., caused due to the patronage of Mysore Wodeyars; Especially during Mummadi Krishna Raja Wodeyar, patronage donations were abundant.
