Gudagunti samsthanada 3 kuta thamra pathragalu-Spurious inscriptions of Gudugunti Samsthana
Author: Dr.AmareshYatgal
Place: Guduganti, Lingasuguru, Raichur
Dr. Yatgal narrates the historical back ground of the chieftains of Gudugunti, who belong to the Gosala tradition and were related to chieftains of surapura. The present spurious inscriptions whose period has been ranged from 920 A.D. to 1301 A.D., actually belong to 16-17th century. Though paleographically spurious the facts regarding donated villages to Siddabasappa etc. are interesting.
