Pallava SriKandavarmana thamra patagalu-The copper plates of Pallava Sri Kandavarma

The author has explained in detail the copper plate inscription from Chikkaballapur of the Pallava king Sri Kandavarma belonging 8th century AD. Author thinks it might also be a ‘Kuta’ shasana or a copy of the original as the lineage of Pallava king and the Kannada script used does not conform to the historical facts. The photos of the plates are also furnished.

ಇದು ಬೇರೆಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ವಲಸೆ ಬಂದಿರಬಹುದೆ. ಶಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಹೆಸರುಗಳಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಇದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಲಿಪಿ ಲಕ್ಷಣ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಇದನ್ನು ಕೂಟ ಶಾಸನವೆನ್ನಲು ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
