Sri Jayadevappa along with Dr. Jagadesh has discovered two new hero-stone inscriptions at Hugudi and Herejeni villages. Hugadi hero-stone inscription indicates a death of a hero fighting againist cattle raid. The second one deals with endowment by Permadi Shantaradeva to Heggades of Hirejeni and different kinds of taxes vogue in the area
