Hoysala king Veera Someshwara who ruled from 1235 to 1255 AD was a Shaivait and during his reign, he has built many temples, agrahaaraas and has given various donations to Jaina, Shaiva and Vaishnava temples. Author quotes inscriptions to describe king’s religious tolerance and his notable religious deeds.
